Something New to Follow

I added a link to my list of blogs and webpages I check out regularly.
I have a new one. See Marley & Me, under Friends & Stuff.

It all started with a USA Today Article, for me. In the paper version. I came upon it on break at work, read it and tore it out to bring it home for a reminder.
Then I finally bought the book. I'm about half way thru it. I laugh, I cry, most of all I RELATE!
If you know me, you probably know or know of Stanley (see his pic up in the corner?).

You might also know I'm not a book person. And this is only probably the 3rd book I have been seriously about. I really recommend this book! Hmm I guess it's the time to start a Book List. Stay tuned...

Well anyway today, I had a good reason to go to the Marley & Me website. I had a Bad Dog story ( of many) to write for John. I kept it short and sweet. But John invites stories, as you will see on this page. Read his blog, Read other stories (including mine) and then add your own!

Looking out for who?

I've always thought my floorpersons looked out for us dealers. But all-in-all they are looking out for their selves. I can see they are planning ahead. As the chess pieces are falling off of the table. The Bishop is seeing the Pawns getting prepared for war.

Enough of the Chess metaphor. I did NOT deal dice today - and waited for them to break down and put me up there. I would refuse. But this never came to be.

For some reason they put a baboon up there. Oh yeah,(sence my sarcasm as it is) it's a GREAT time to throw a baboon in, blind to the ways of the game. It was busy and only half of the crew knew what they were doing. After 1 hour, I asked the boxperson whose Wheaties he pissed in. It was pure insanity and I could see that he was unhappy with the situation. Eventually he demanded the baboon be replaced, at least the replacement had studied the game and discussed it- unlike the baboon.
On a break with the boxman I saw this look in his eyes. Then he began to tell me about it. He could not run a game that he could not control. I am sure he is sitting at home having a 6-pack right now! If it were me, anyway, I dont even know if that could numb it for anyone.

Yesterday the schedule had no indication I was dealing Dice at all this weekend, nor for anyone else. Today it was only indicated for today and no indications for the rest of the weekend.

If I am on dice, with a similar situation as today- at all, this weekend I am going to give it a 1 hour trial. But I don't have patience, and I'll beg and plead to steer clear of such a muck, and go stright to jail (21), do not pass go, & do not collect $200.00!

If my floorpersons do not care to strengthen my skills but merely scratch at them with poison thorns, I can not give back more than is given. How can I get faster on a game with a pause button for baboons, thats frequently getting pressed.

I also asked the main floorperson for my shift today if he knew when I would be going back to swing and he gave me a dead empty stare. He was completely unaware that I even applied for transfer. So I said "I applied just before the auditions." He explained that HR was taking weeks in processing any new hires and I probably wouldn't be able to go anywhere until I could be replaced. And that the shift's crew was already short. Please excuse me while I scream. 3 months will pass by fast, and doubt I will be up to speed like the swing and day shift dealers. As in 3 months is the next round of auditions.

I have more potential than this demeaning stand-by servitude. I am the Bishop!

Car Buying Run Arounds

Still Shopping for a new vehicle. This is not fun at all! More Like Aggravating!

The 1st look-see was a older Jeep Wranger way out on hte far west side of town, well it drove ok but needed modifications before I was comforable in it. The top was in rags, the seats were just WRONG and uncomfortable, the shift-stick handle was MIA, plus it was a 4cyl.

Then I came across another Jeep about the same age, nice top, new paint, ran well. I got the salesman down from $6500 to $4500 and then brought S to see it. He said looks good, saw a few minor leaks under the vehicle, we was almost about to let me have it, then he asked if the AC worked, I said, I hadn't thought about it coz I test drove it in the morning when it was cool. Well there was NO AC and it was all black! So we moved on.

Saw an ad for a Blazer in my price-range at a dealership- called around 11 to see if it was there, they said it was, drove way out there to see it and it was gone. We had a feeling it wasn't there when I called... So we left.

On to see a Bravada we saw on craigslist -in the ad it looks good and sounds good. We made arrangemnts to see it "after 2pm" we get there and theres some guys in the garage kind of fiddling with it, and we notice there's no panelling on the inside of the drivers side door. So we moved on.

Saw another ad on craigslist, for a newer jeep, the ad said to email the owner for more info, so I did. And I got an Auto-responce from Yahoo, with an ebay link, no big deal so I followed it, and browsed right past the writen info to see the pics 1st, then back up to see the price listed and something familiar caught my eye, and no one was home for me to freak out with, but this LAS VEGAS AREA listing was actually not in LV at all, but in of all places in America- but NOBLES(effen)VILLE, INDIANA! go figure! (Don't be asking me for a link now, I can't find it again.)

Last night S went to see an Amigo at a dealership, thought it acceptable for me and when I got home from work today he sent me to see it. So I went. I saw. I drove. I made an Offer. They were asking $4995, I offered $4000 even - and they scoffed at me. After their dealer fees and BS it was like $6500 (GASP). I do not think I want to deal with a Big Dealership at all, after that. What a sour taste that left in my mouth. Damn I really liked the Amigo too!

Theres another Jeep I just can't seem to get my mind off of. It's a nice medium blue with soft top. I stopped to double check its price today, still $7995, I didn't bother asking if they would take my measley $4000 offer. Its at a Used Cars Only Dealership. But I drive by this Jeep DAILY and fantasize about it being MINE.

Back thru the Trader Paper I Go.

Counting Is Fun

If You know me, You probably know the inside joke of "count the dots" which was made in reference when we used to play cards with S's parents. And this was always funny to everyone else.

Well, today I got to make fun with a 21 player with counting issues.

He sits with his two cards in hand looks for a second then starts to tuck them under his bet as to stay, and looks again then tucks again, and does this about 4 times. I said "Do you ned help counting?" And he replied, "No I'm just slow" Well if you ran out of fingers and toes you'd have to drop your pants to get to 21!" And everyone laughed.

Then I got tapped out by Karen, and I said "If you need counting help now, just use your buddy's fingers, and keep your pants on because Karen is a respectable lady!"

I'm Sickening and those F*&%ing Rules

Some people don't want to learn how to play blackjack- maybe they just want to pretend they know and loose money and make other players mad.

I had a kid playing on 3rd base/ last seat at a 21 table and before he even started playing I figured he was trouble. In the 5 year old's typicalstyle of "are we there yet" over and over, all I heard for a whole 2 deck shoe was "did you shuffle yet" because there is no mid deck entry for new players. So then he finally got to play and only bought in for 20.00 ( what a waste of time IMO) and i even let him cut the deck, hoping he would shut up. But this didn't help or work. He was all mouth and full of F-bombs. When he would stay after a hit he kept tosing his cards on top of his hit card, and in general when some one tosses cards in they are busted, so I asked over and over every hand if he busted. and after the 3rd time I even said "When you stay, you tuck you cards under your bet." Simple enoughdon't you think? Well not to him... He got pissed off at me for telling his how things are done, what the etiquittes were etc. After the last hand when I beat him he grabbed his chips, stood up, said something like "You and your F*&%ing rule!" and stormed off. Two of his friends, still at the table playing well mannered said "no, we don't know him!" and everyone laughed a lot!

Later I was dealing the Bonus Texas Hold'em game, with only one player. Another older gentleman joins us and I kind of had to explain teach the game. That was easy enough. But then I reamed them both. I got four 3-of-a-kinds in a row, then 2 pair, then a straight. Unbelievable, because I can't get this when I play real Texas Hold'em! Anyway so when I showed the straight, the older man grabbed the little bit of chips he had left, and said "You're Sickening!"to me, and stormed off to the cashier! The other guy and me got a laugh out of the comment for a few minutes.

Oh and made it to the Doctor today, got me some drugs and X-rays and may have to go to a chiropractor. We'll see after my X-rays come back to my doctor. Pinched Nerve is he suspect.

Oranges, Aches and Firebets

I wish I could say things were more interesting at work as of late but they aren't.
Well we are getting FIRE BETS on our tables today, so we're learning this. Sounds easy enough. I'm not suposed to be dealing craps tomorrow (grrrr) and with the crew who is, I can't even imagine the chaos!

I'm having pains in my neck/shoulder and am going to go see a doctor about it, it seems reccurring. I want PT massage!

Lexi is recovering well. She has actually been eating her full bowl of food, for a few days now. Her playful and spunkiness is back too!

California Clementines, I don't think I have ever had any, but when I was looking for Mandarin Oranges at Sams Club I found these instead. The sign said "Easier to peel, Seedless, and Sweeter than regular Mandarins" So I grabbed a 5 lb bag. When I got home I had to try one, it was plenty sweet but a lot of the pith was stuck to the sections after I peeled it. So I looked up proper preparations for eating these, and I read a site that recommends a quick boil, then cooling before peeling and eating. So, today I followed those directions and then had one for a snack, OHMYGAWD, I think it even makes them sweeter, boiling them etc! and no pith! I think you can do this for any kind of orange! But if you want to try the candiest sweetest orangiest oranges try a California Clementine.

Space Cowboy

Also could be titled "Fun ways to make tips."

Dealing 21 to a group of 20 somethings, not all from the same place but playing at the same table.
Last seat is kind of a goof. I'm in a 8 deck shuffle and he blurts out, holding up a red chip "i'll give you this if you can tell me what song is this" and with out a delay I correctly repond "Space Cowboy!" and he was shocked. So he said "So who sings it?" and again with out a having to think I replied "Steve Miller Band." He kind of twirks his head liek he wasn't expecting to loose $5, tossed the chip in and said "I didn't think you'd know..."

Everyone thinks I am younger than I AM, pegging me in my early 20's would mean it unlikely I would know a song from before my time...

Hello, My Name is Impatient!

The title to my car came yesterday! I have to start looking at auto ads now and looking at actual autos too. I want a Jeep or mini-truck or smaller SUV. Can't go look at anythign without S, he's got a screwed up schedule for sleep and work right now, may have to wait thru march madness before we can go look around.

Friday is release date for the free auto ads magazines. I'll pick up a few... Hopefully I can go check-out some autos soon too!

Tilted Bell Curve

Well yesterday I found out it was a passing score but barely because someone mucked up the bell curve, last time high score was 58, this time it was 68.
Last time 54 was average, and this time I got 52, so I thought it was good... then I come to find out best really tilted the scales. Lowest possible passing score is 51, less than a 51 is not passing. I'm feeling better about it after some managers explained things to me.
No one one has pointed out my errors or week spots from my audition.
I know that I am not the fastest dealer. . . I've just got to work on my speed with accuracy.

March Maddening

I'm feeling unlucky and hateful.
I want March to be OVER!

The scores for Auditions came out- I wish I would have never done it. Experience or not. I didn't expect to make the cut, but some who did shouldn't have. Enough said on that. I dont want to dwell, and I am trying not too. But if you know me, you know I OBSESS upon what ever is going on in my life, so I will work on going back to obsessing on getting a new vehicle.

I just realized how terribley twistedly connected topics can become.

A big part of me can't wait to move on to a less of a flea-magnet casino. Even with a $10 table all weekend, March Madness brings drunks who are drunk enough to not care how much they are gambling. And tips aren't that much better than the regular ones. So I don't think it is that much worth it.

But drunks are easier to hussle, and I don't usually hussle for tips... but ;)
This was a very prime opportunity and I took full advantage of it. Should I feel guilty- I think NOT. OK these 2 from MN with no clue, one more drunk than the other asked me what he should bet. I replied "a 2-way horn high ace/deuce" he had no idea what it was but when it hit he got some money and SO DID THE DEALERS. I got him to bet this many times! As well as other dealer bets and 2-way bets. So many times he would just slap down a handful of chips and tell me to figure out what he should bet. A few times I would set him up on all the numbers and the change /left overs would go to the dealers benefit :) it was sweet! But I have a headache from them and the other going-ons for the day.

Waiting!

I'm impatiently waiting on the mailman to bring me an envelope from the bank I had my car loan with. I'm waiting on my title.

I have a buyer who is waiting to buy my car.

I picked up a few free auto classifies books (YES I am sure they are free!) at the 7-11. I made a list of trucks/SUVs etc I want to see from them.

I'm sure if my title doesnt show up this weekend those cars will all be gone! But I have my buyers phone number so when its time I do not have to wait to see him at work. He said to let him know AS SOON AS I could sell it to him, and gave me his number. I think he is about as eager as me!

The Craps Bitch

If I play my cards right, I will have all three days on dice this weekend. Today, friday, St Patty's Day, I was on dice. I was glad, but I was wrong too. I went to the front table first off, and onto stick. Both tables were open and in this case grave usually takes the front table. But not today, soon-after other dealers/floorpersons came up there looking for me, coz I guess they had planned on us going on the back table. Not to mention I was unknowingly on tokes committee. I've been stuck with this alot when I am dice. Why can't I get to do it on non-dice days. So anyway, 1st break is not a break, when its a dice day. Well I got out of there as soon as the other swing shift dealer returned and started collecting tokes and after did my toke duties I went to the back dice table.

Nick was Box for the most part and correcting me a lot. Many of the things we do, I guess are not proceedure, but ARE very slack. And it is not stuff you would learn at school either. So I figured it out after about an hour- He was letting the other dealers slide when it came to those things he corrected me on. He knows I'm either going to swing shift or the Flamingo so he's getting me prepared etc. And so we talked about it a few minutes when I went on my break.

But the things I wasn't allowed to slide on anymore the players thought I was a bitch about, and a meanie, etc. So I was getting very military on the fact. The dice would be out and some one would throw in a prop bet, so I HAD to call NO BET and have the base dealer return the chips. Over and Over again "No Bet" it seemed I had to call. I had a few other things I'll be watching myself on now, and thats fine. But it is SO annoying that no one else follows the proceedures. They don't really care that I call NO BET.

When the back table closed, I explained to the players it isn't at all that I dislike them, I liked them plenty - but that I had to follow the rules, and I can't make everyone do the same. So I look like the Bitch, but I'm not really one.

I also checked the schedule for the rest of the week and it shows me on dice both tomorrow and sunday. I'm going to pass out, I have more than 2 days on dice. But my money is on the dice table closing early sunday. My luck! This is how my shift boss is...

Good to go on Poker; Too Hot to Handle on 21

Jesus ( say it in spanish like "Hey Zues") the ACM was our head floorman again today. The last day for a while. He doesn't really care what game you go to after break, as long as its one of the choices. Some floorpersons are super specific with where you go when you come back from a break. He's so friendly... I will miss his style.

I didn't deal much 21 at all today. I have learned to love this Bonus Texas Hold'em in spite of 21. I already preferred the other 2 poker games, anyway, I started on 21 because we were packed. It went like this...

4am - party pit - 21,a $15 game- reamed them all and they left and I closed the table all in less than 20 minutes. With time to spare before expected break time, I ran keys back and forth between the pits, then went on break at 4:20.

4:40 take the farthest back 21 table, ream the players and run them off broke, close the table all within 20 minutes again. Tell floorpersons I was only on for 20 and could stay down to help get the swing shift OT out of there. So, I was sent to a 21 table, but it was the shoe and they were bringing out new cards and the dealer who starts this procedure/process as to finish it. SO I was sent to the next table over ( double deck *grumble*) and take out a swing shifter and was there until 5:20- thats a good 40 minutes, so I go on break.

5:40 I return and floor asks who knows Let it Ride Poker - guess who jumps on this chance to NOT deal 21... So I tap out a Swing-shifter who should go home now. And I deal this game to 3 college aged idiotic boys, YES I mean BOYS. The middle one says if he gets a royal flush he will give me a few grand from it. I failed in dealing him this hand BUT I did give him a 3 of a kind. I had enough of swing shift leftover drunks, so I was short fused and sassy, so I said " So you only share when its a Royal Flush?" And he looks at me like he did not understand a word I said as he plays with his newly gained 50.00. Then the next hand is over and he gave me 5.00 (an acceptable 10%) and said something about forgetting to tip me. His soberish friend says "THATS what she was saying (mumbles) dumbass." Only a few hands pass and they are out of there. So, I ask Jesus if I should bring up my lid and close this table too. He debates and agrees and tells me to have the other floor person do the paperwork and open Bonus Texas Hold 'em (BTH). I called Patrick over to bring the paper work and keys and get this table closed. Then its Almost 6 and I am opening BTH. I soon get tapped out again for a break.

6:20 I come back and take on 3-card Poker woohoo! They day is settling and no new games will open or close until day shift floorpersons come in.

I had a forgivable and fixable incident on roulette. A guy had 5 ships on 13 and it hit. I swear I thought it was 4 chips, so I cut out 1 black and 2 stacks of 20 in play chips. Call out "140 - 1 black out". Patrick walks over and notices it is 5 chips as does the player at this time and Patrick asks how much I paid... I replied "140" "it should be 175 he says" so I cut out 35 more and pushed it out. Big deal & Patrick didn't get upset. Patrick doesn't sweat this stuff, he's a good floorperson personality wise.

Back to BTH later with this great guy from Albuquerque. He put a lot of bets up for me on the bonus. One time, he had pocket rockets (AA) and got all excited. If dealer has AA too he gets paid 1000 to 1 on the bonus. Well Dealer didn't have AA so we both only got paid 30 to 1, still a good dea. And I took my 31 and dropped it in my tip box. 2 hands later I'm still up on the bonus bet with him and he gets AK suited and that pays 25 to 1 for both of us. Then when I got tapped out he gave me a big high five!

My last game on for the day was 21 on hte 8 deck shoe. I reamed 'em. I was just too hot to handle today when it came to 21. I hate that too! I dont make tips when I take all of their money.

Weird Wednesday

I can tell it is the beginning of March Madness, we were busy enough for a wednesday, which I normally stare into space waiting for players. Thankfully there are TVs everywhere now.
Well I had games all day, Only dead time was for a few minutes on roulette. Mostly I had 3-card Poker today also Texas Hold'em Bonus, and for 1 down I had the 8 deck shoe for Blackjack.
On 3-Card I gave a nice lady from Ohio a straight flush, 235.00 pay out, she was betting minimums. And she gave me 25.00 :)
I went to pay her in green as my floorman requested but the player asked for black so I cut out 2 black and and called it out. When black goes out- you have to call it out ot the floorpersons. He has to keep track. He looked at me with disapproval, but gave me the OK. I told him it was players request, which it is better to please the player, especially who gives you a tip.

Also today, we had a floorperson standing for graveyard from the Flamingo, He is actually the ACM (Assistant Casino Manager) dual rate who steps in floor when there are needs for it. Today we needed him. Our regular floorthe ACM is pretty cool, and I like when he stands floor for us, this is the 2nd time since I've been on this shift. So the schedule is not done yet, tho I noticed I was still not on the swing shift schedule yet. I noticed someone started our schedule, and in this I saw I was scheduled for my 1st time to deal at the Flamingo as stand in, next wednesday...in 21. I am looking forward to this, I wonder if this will help me get next door. At least it will get me warmed up for it, when ever it may occur.

Taked to a friend who went transfered to the over to the Flamingo last round, asked him what should I do about getting dice-time in over there if I get a transfer as I do not want to be stiffed with blackjack and lose my dice skills. He gave me a great answer. ASK FOR IT, but to the scheduler in charge.

On a non-work related topic, when I got home from work I had to get Lexi to her vet for removal of her stitches. She did well, very patient with her vet, who is very good with her. He told her she did so good he gave her a buncha treats. I got to hold her while he did it. I brought up her changed eating habits, its not likely her appetite keeping her from eating but her depth perception, she doesn't know how close it is, but when she gets hungy enough her nose will take her to it. Doc said not to worry.

Thats it, I am off to bed!

Boring weekend so far

For a big deal made of NASCAR weekend, I've been bored, stood more dead games this weekend than I did the weekdays this week. It kind of made up for the full tables I dealt 21 on with pure idiots. I was so annoyed! I left work with a monster headache!

They added a color to our uniform options this weekend. Normally we've got a dark green shirt on, well now we have bright blue shirts too. I said "so next week, do we get red?" Other departments are allowed to wear these T-shirts "I got lucky at O'sheas" and day shift is giving them away 4pm to 8pm for suited blackjacks. I wish we could wear them too.

Lexi had her check up today form her surgery. Doc says she looks good, when all is healed and fur is grown back, it will just look like she was born with only one eye!! *laughs* everyone notices a change in her personality now she has her spunk back :)

Yesterday I was not on dice and when day shift floor came in, after sitting box like 20 minutes, Daniel ask me why wasn't I on dice and he said "these guys are killing me" meaning the newbies learning on the job. I said "Yea, I guess we both got screwed" But a secret part of me didn't want to be up there with those newbies and their lack of procedures etc. I just want to deal with a real crew.

I have no idea what is in store for me tomorrow! At least it will be my friday and I have my weekend to look forward to.

Oh, did the Focus Training test- passed with a 100%.
Also got an award at work, someone had such a good time at a table with me that they remembered my name and wrote about me in a survey Harrahs sends out. That looks good for a Flamingo Hopeful, they like to see personality there.

Orville?

Had a couple of guys playing blackjack with a good personality and lots of conversation floating. I like to ask people where they are visiting from, and these two guys replied with what I heard as "Orville, KY." So since I am not that familiar with all of KY, I asked where that was. They both kind of laughed like i was an idiot and one said "Orville, where the Kentucky Derby is... 16th largest city in America..duh..." I said, "no way, really!" Then they said something to another player about Louisville, and I said "LOUISVILLE, oh did you say you were from LOUISVILLE, KY" their heads were nodding and I started laughing so hard and said "Oh gawd, I thought you guys said ORVILLE, no wonder, you must have thought I was an idiot!" They started cracking jokes about Orville Redenbacher/popcorn jokes and calling eachother Orville. It was very funny at the time. I was so goofied-up by it that I counted the other plays 4 card 21 (4-7-7-3) as 18 somehow, I am guessing I missed the 3.

And the rest of the day as I would walk by they would say something about Orville.

Turns out there is an Orville, KY! Location is 38°23'54"N 84°54'56"W

Orville is the 430th most popular male first name in the USA; frequency is 0.024%; percentile is 83.009 [SourceCBN]

Reflections on my Audition

I think I did well. I did 2 versions of 21 and then they asked me to do craps, which I thought I would have to go back for.

Blackjack- both went well, they were looking for more of a personality with procedures, I think I showed them I had it.

Craps- I took all 3 positions and I was nervous on bases but smooth on stick. They have what is called speed checks for chips which are slippery, and when stacked you have to be careful! I knocked some over and the boxman said "don't be nervous" and I said "It doesn't help that they are slippery." And he replied with "no one cares if you knock chips over" and before I knew it I was tapped out and done.

You don't get a score for a week or two when everyone gets auditioned who wanted to and they create a list in order of high-to-low scores and seniority with in the scores.

I am anxious to see what I scored. 60 is the best. One of the dealers who auditioned and likes to hear himself talk... came in to work bragging he scored 59, and there is no way he would know that and I doubt he did get that.

One Eye

Lexi is home. They called me around 4 this afternoon to let me know the surgery went well and she was waking up etc. and to come get her around 5. So as the hour drew closer I prepared to pick up my baby. I had no idea what to expect, really. I ended up asking some questions and learning more about what was involved in her surgery. I won't go into detail for the sake of the weak stomachs and faint hearts out there reading this. But I will say they do enough to the effort to keep her from looking like she has a sunken in eye socket.

I was sad to see her at 1st with stitches and all but the vet tech made her look and feel extra special. They loved the tropical li'l bandana I had on her so instead of replacing it with one of thiers like they normally do, they just washed it and layered it with one of theirs that so cutely coordinates.

She seems to be ok, just sleeping now. Stanley and Kara gave ther the once over sniffs and approved her condition, I guess, and are leaving her alone now. They gave me an E-collar in case she is bothering and scratching/pawing at her eye but so far she doesn't care. Maybe she is on the doggy version of vicodin :)

I tried to give her a half of a little treat but she was not interested. She has not eaten today at all since yesterday, and the vet said to try to feed her half of her normal food after 6pm.

I can't wait for her to be her normal puppy playful self again. Maybe I will buy her a new mega big squeaky toy tomorrow.

On/Off Switch for the Craps Table Required

Even more reason I should go back to Swing or to Flamingo, if I pass.
Started today - SATURDAY - on the back dice table. The front table was already closed.
We only kept it going for ...about 2 hours!!! Then they closed it and sent us Dice Dealers to 21.
Then around 10 I got tapped out on a 21 table in the party pit when I started back to go on break I saw the front dice table with 2 dealers on base and no stick man. The other dice dealer for today was already on break so I took the stick. After what was probably 40 minutes on 21 already I relinquished a whole break to get on dice and there was 1-hour and 40 minutes continuous dealing. Before I knew it that 2 hours on dice was gone.

So my point being, that this shift won't even keep the table open to half a table right thru a saturday shift.

I am anxious to see what happens next week after Auditions.

Thoughts for Friday

First my upcoming work schedule gave me wed/thurs off next week, so I asked to get it switched to mon/tues so Monday morning I could play poker with S and the guys. We are planning to play at the Silverton.

Then I found out Audition Sign-ups for Flamingo were up so I pondered it for a few hours before I decided to sign up just to see what auditions were like, and be a glutton for punishment or something. Auditions are for 2 games. Most will go for 21 and Roulette. If you are going for Craps at all you do 21 1st them they set up a separate audition appointment for craps. I'm just curious about how the whole thing goes. This will be next Monday Night 8pm. Do not know why these are only during swing shift but they are :)

As a back up plan I filled out the paper work to request for shift transfer, back to swing as I have deliberated over for a while now.

So one way or another things are about ot change!

Oh... Yesterday I got an EO (Early Out) at work and went ot Bally's to watch thier dice game and talk to their Box Man. I hope to go there to work someday, maybe another 3-6 months I hope. I had an idea, I was not prepared for the idea, but they said I could hop on the table. Maybe I could go back once a week and get chummy with that crew/boxman etc. I wonder if I should wear break-in Black & Whites or??? There was not a single female on the table dealing or playing so I wonder... I've had a good history from being the only chick. We shall see what happens.

Tuesday I heard from management at work that the place I work won't be there much longer, July 07 infact is the end, I was told. No idea if there will be placement or severance or anything for anyone who will still be working there.

Today I was NOT on dice, until the last 40 minutes. When the day shift managers were in and one of the guys who was on dice wanted on cards to start getting warmed up for his Audition. I didn't mind, I want to be on dice :) The day shift manager who was sitting box likes me and didn't care - so all was good.
