WTF unburied..

Well, got the boxes out of the bathroom, the lid was up on the toilet, but the boxes didn't get in deep enough to get wet. However, the toilet seat did get cracked :(

Like there isn't enough we need to buy. But I feel obligated since it is a brand spankin' new toilet!

The Shopping list is getting Long! and the bank account is getting short.
We need paychecks!!! or donations :) LOL

Well S starts work tomorrow, 5pm 11 hr shift, WTF is up with that!
I think I will be working Swing, I called the Pit and asked if i was on the schedule, but I was not yet, So I will head up there tomorrow to get in faces and get my name on the schedule so i can work / make money.

In the mean time, you all can head over to my Etsy shop and buy cards to help me financially!

Craigslist Rocks

We have found so many good things good deals on CL!
A Bowflex for pennies on the dollar.
A vehicle at one point.
And now a House to rent!

If you have no idea, CL is like the worldwide classified ads!
list things,
buy, sell, trade things,
even forums to talk about all the above.

Tho I have had no luck in selling things.
I had many replies for prospective buyers of things I need.

I was never any good on Ebay either.
I guess if you read my blog you read S's and figured out i just prefer to put it out for free and collect money in spite of freeness! That my friends was amazingly great! should have done it sooner with the other 4 or 5 loads of goodwill donation trips. Well Trust me I will do it again when needed!

So anyway, back to CL, I think we are going to list the house we were leasing in Vegas on CL, and give the contact info for the agency in it!

Live in vegas, need a old 4bed/ 2 bath house with hot tub, 1 car garage, fenced in back yard....great for roommates or small family. Close to UNLV and LV Blvd even close to Downtown, if you had an inclination to go there. Schools, Park, police station, Post Office, Mall, Hospital all close!

WTF was that?!?!

Its like 12:30am... I am sound asleep in bed in my new home. I hear something and it spooked the dogs. I figure it was a shelf in my studio so i go to check it out. I stand a moment or 2 looking around the room, the hall (where i have some of my studio boxes awaiting to be unpacked) and peer into the other rooms, but nothing looks out of sorts. I turn the direction of the guest bathroom, coz i hear something out the window in there (tiny shower space window), turn on hte light thinking to check the screen in the window, it is fine. Out of the bottom corner of my eye, I see the source of the noise... I had a stack of smaller boxes stashed in there (full of studio stuff) which for some unknown reason tumbled over onto the toilet. GAWD! I hope the toilet seat cover was DOWN! I cant get to it to see... I will just HOPE! tho i am SURE it was....hoping still...

Just another sign that I have a long way to go with unpacking, ok well every other room is unpacked and I am left to deal with this room all on my very own... just as well, no one else knows where or how to arrange my supplies.

OK so now it is 3am, I have been surfing, blogging, and researching ever-since the falling boxes.

Per haps I should go back to bed, money plays on S getting up between 6 & 7 am again!

both times it was excellent.

We have frequented Java Joe's for FREE wifi access, last night we were there at closing and they gave us free muffins, Mine was a sweet chocolate and cherry chunk muffin, for day old it was still moist and delicious! MIL got a Carrot Bread Muffin, but she thought it was dry. Today w got fresh brewed Iced Tea while waiting, pretty decent.

The other night we topped not too far from Java Joe's at Joe's Diner out of ambition and being a 50's diner style, the food was fair but not good enough for the price. and the service was lacking.

We have also ate at the Gold Dust Restaurant in the Cities of Gold Hotel/Casino and I had a chicken Caesar Salad which was darn good, especially since we were there past closing and they still were happy to serve us.

MIL got herself a Chicken Taco Salad, which she was super impressed with the layer of superfluous shredded chicken. 

Well we are about to go view some more houses, so keep comin' back for more!

Santa Fe or BUST

Thursday morning I hit the road to Santa Fe NM. Here I am, and it is a beautiful place indeed.

I have been on the hunt with mother-in-law in tow for a suitable house for rent here.

We are looking for a house with a fenced in yard for the dogs, landlords that welcome the dogs, with in driving distance for our new place of work... BUFFALO THUNDER RESORT. 

I have 3 really good prospects, I am going to send in my rental applications tomorrow ( Fax of course) and hope to hear by monday one is a deal.

The management from my new employer has put me up in their other/older hotel 2 miles up the road. It is a pretty nice hotel, and I was lucky to get a room, as it is Indian Market this week. Lots of tourists and rooms are filled up everywhere!

we are driving the jeep around but we do have the top on, but we have rolled ( for lack up better word) the windows down and get a nice breeze all day thru the car, and i am getting a lovely farmers tan on my left arm LOL. wish i had a set of matching arms LOL...

We have a collection of local interest magazines, pamphlets and papers for learning what is where and what to do, and there is a lot for this little town!

Monday I go to the casino here at Cities of Gold to meet up with the scheduling and HR for my drug testing and mew hire paperwork. I heard it took a few hours. I am already promised 40 hours/full time and looks as though I have my choice of hours. I am pretty open to that though. I have don't all shifts in casinos and can handle it busy or slow either way, it is a 24 hr tip split like i am used to so i will make the same as joe bloe in tips. but i did hear 2 different thing about dice dealers' hourly rage, 1st was told one rate, then someone else said that was wrong and it was actually about 3.00 more. so i have yet to verify this. but the casino is beautiful, the managers have a great attitude towards my and can not wait for me to start. I told one i was his new "SEVEN-OUT QUEEN" and he said to get to work because needed someone like me / ME. :)

I am going to discuss my fast-track to box-person or supervisor position. I want to to be fast, esp if i can get some good dealers to follow me here. I have 2 or 3 who want to follow me, so i will be getting the info on employee referrals ASAP also! would love to get a bonus for that!

Well thats a start for my SF adventure.
