Well yesterday I started talking about books and decided to list my favorites.
In order of Discovering them:
The Times We Had by Marion Davies
This is a fun biography of the life of Actress Marion Davies and Media Tycoon-William Randolph Hearst, who she was lifetime mistress to, back in the early 1900's. I felt like I was there, I often felt like I was seeing it all thru her eyes. Such a natural story telling.
Holy Moly Mackeroly! Reflections on the Business of Art and the Art of Life by Gloria Page
Very intriguing memoirs of a rubber stamp artist making a business of her art. When I wanted to do the same thing I delved deep into the pages of this book. Even tho the business aspect turned out to be NOT FOR ME, I stil really enjoyed glorias experiences.
Marley & Me : Life and Love with the World's Worst Dog by John Grogan
The trials and tribulations of rearing a crazed pup - very strong feelings of relating. Even if you don't concider your dog(s) bad, this is a lot of fun!
My next Purchase is going to be the Postsecret Book, to add to my engossment at the website.
PostSecret : Extraordinary Confessions from Ordinary Lives by Frank Warren
In case you did not realize, its real peoples' stories I enjoy. No fiction listed here.
But I can't stand reality TV - go figure.
